Practice Philosophy
Since 1979 I have had the pleasure of knowing and treating many patients of all ages in James Bay.
As an indication of this long term stability and commitment to my practice please read our staff biographies and you will appreciate that their loyalty can be relied upon as well.
I believe in high quality care using the best materials and laboratory services. We have been using white filling materials almost exclusively since 1999. Correct techniques are critical for the successful use of these materials and it has been only in the last 3 years or so that I have been satisfied that we have been able to overcome earlier problems associated with their handling. At the same time technology has improved the physical properties resulting in stronger, smoother fillings with a better bonded seal.
I do not believe in trying to be all things to all people and therefore I do not try to offer “one stop shopping “ for all aspects of dentistry. Victoria geographically is a relatively small area and we are blessed with many dental specialists who are experts in their relative fields. I believe in order to offer my patients the best treatment available, I must work in conjunction with those specialists as necessary to provide total dental care. For example if gum surgery is required I will refer to the appropriate specialist in that field, similarly for straightening teeth I would refer to an orthodontist.
